NOTE
Measure the circumference of the head . (or at the point where you will be wearing headband, it could be on the top of the or around forehead).
This wil be how long your must make your headband. 
TIP: Leave  a inch or two free in the back to allow you to tie the ribbon without the headband overlapping.
This headband can also be made for older children or adults. Just measure on the place your will be wearing headband....around the forehead or around the top of head to the nape of the neck.
MATERIALS:
-          Hook E/4 - 3,5 mm;
-          Bbc yarn (the type of yarn will determine the size of the head width)
-          Any type of ribbon 5/8 to 1 inch wide .
-ch7,
Row1: ch7. On the third chain from the end: 3dc, chain 2, 3dc (in the same chain) 3 chains now skip next 3 chains, in beginning chain, 3 dc, chain 2, 3dc in same chain.
In the first foundation chain, complete your next shell stitch.
To go to next row, slst in the next two chains (to move over to the middle of shell without adding height)
To move up to your next row.... slst into the first 2 chains
Row2 : Repeat row 1 until you get the needed number of rows.

Repeat row 1 until you reached your needed length for your headband.

Crocheted 3 Layer Flower

 Ch 5 sl st to first ch to make ring.

 Row 1:  Ch1 sc into ring, ch 3, sc into ring. (formed first petal space) [ch 3, sc into ring] repeat 3 more times for a total of 5 petal spaces.  Sl st into ch 1 at the beginning of the round.
 Row 2: [sc into petal space, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc.] All into first petal space.
 Repeat in each petal space around.  Sl st into first sc.
 5 front petals made.
 Row 3: ch 1, working from the back of the flower, sc around post between petals.  [Ch 4, sc around next post between petals]  repeat 4 more times for a total of 5 petal spaces.  Sl st into first sc.
 Row 4: [sc into petal space, ch 1, 5 dc, ch 1, sc] All into first petal space. 
 Repeat in each petal space around.  Sl st into first sc.
 5 middle petals made.
 Row 5: ch1, working again from the back of the flower, sc around post between middle petals. [Ch 5, sc around next post between petals]  repeat 4 more times for a total of 5 petal spaces.  Sl st into first sc.
 Row 6: [sc into petal space, ch 1, 7 dc, ch 1, sc] All into first petal space.
 Repeat in each petal space around.  Sl st into first sc.
 5 back petals made.
 Finish off and weave in ends.  If you are going to attach the flower leave long tail.

-  Bumbac  2 (3) 1-oz balls Blue (A)
 - 1 1-oz. balls Contrasting Color (CC)
- 1 pair needles size 2
 - 4 small pearl buttons
 - steel crochet hook size 4

GAUGE: 8 sts = 1 inch; 12 rows = 1 inch

ABBREVIATIONS:
- k= knit;
- p= purl;
- k2tog= knit two together;
- sl1= slip one;
- psso= pass slipped stitch over;
- yfwd = yarn forward ;
- ssk= slip 2 stitches as if to knit, then knit those 2 stitches together;
- M1= Make 1 stitch: insert left needle, from front to back, under strand of yarn , which runs between last stitch on left needle and first stitch on right needle;  knit this stitch through back loop;
- stst= stockinette stitch.

PATTERN STITCH A: 
R1: k2 * yfwd, sl1 , k2tog, psso, yfwd, k1*,  repeat from * to last stitch,  k1.
R2,4,6,8: purl
